Roanoke, VA: Lintel, 1990. Presumed First Edition, First printing. Hardcover. The format is approximately 5.75 inches by 8.825 inches. 62, [2] pages. Inscribed by the author on the fep. The inscription reads 1991 For Sophia--In warm friendship-- Sincerely Nathan Teitel. Includes An Appreciation of Nathan Teitel's Poetry by William Packard. Nathan Teitel (1910-1998) had won distinction in every literary genre: poetry, drama and fiction. He was a Professor of Modern Literature at New York University and had lectured in Drama at Stanford University. He was the widower of Carol Teitel, a noted actress who was killed tragically by a drunk driver. His book of poems, ''In Time of Tide'', was noted by fellow poet, William Packard, as ''terse, impassioned and utterly lyrical-something that is rare in any day and age....The severe spirits of Catullus and Herman Melville hover over these lines, ominously plain and stark and heroic.''-- Mr. Packard's Appreciation. William Packard (September 2, 1933 – November 3, 2002) was an American poet, playwright, teacher, novelist, and was also founder and editor of the New York Quarterly, a national poetry magazine. Poet and novelist James Dickey called Packard "one of the great editors of our time". Cited by Rolling Stone as "the most important poetry magazine in America," the New York Quarterly earned a reputation for excellence by publishing poems, and for its “exceptional in-depth interviews,” NYQ has, in its thirty-year career, published virtually every important poet in the nation. This was Teitel's first collection of his poems, some of which had previously appeared in The New York Quarterly, Western Review, and Golden Goose. More

Washington DC: U. S. Government Printing Office, 1966. Presumed First Edition, First printing thus. Wraps. xiv, 710 pages. Footnotes. Includes Foreword, Topical List of Documents, List of Abbreviations, Documents, Bibliography, List of Persons, List of Documents, and Index. Includes Documents on Communist China, Eighteen Nation Disarmament Committee, Federal Republic of Germany, France, Latin America, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Soviet Union, United Nations, United States, and Warsaw Pact Organization. The Documents on Disarmament volumes, issued annually since 1960, contain basic documents on disarmament, arms control, and related matters. International negotiations and the activities of the United States Arms Control and Disarmament Agency during 1965 are described in the annual report of the Agency, which is printed at the end of the documents. Disarmament is the act of reducing, limiting, or abolishing weapons. Disarmament generally refers to a country's military or specific type of weaponry. Disarmament is often taken to mean total elimination of weapons of mass destruction, such as nuclear arms. General and Complete Disarmament was defined by the United Nations General Assembly as the elimination of all WMD, coupled with the “balanced reduction of armed forces and conventional armaments, based on the principle of undiminished security of the parties with a view to promoting or enhancing stability at a lower military level, taking into account the need of all States to protect their security.”.
