Dinesh Joseph D'Souza (born April 25, 1961) is an Indian American political commentator, author, filmmaker, and convicted felon. From 2010 to 2012, he was president of The King's College, a Christian school in New York City. Born in Bombay, D'Souza came to the United States as an exchange student and graduated from Dartmouth College. He became a naturalized citizen in 1991. He is the author of several New York Times best-selling books, including titles on Christian apologetics. D'Souza has been critical of New Atheism. In 2012, D'Souza released his film 2016: Obama's America, an anti-Obama polemic based on D'Souza's 2010 book The Roots of Obama's Rage; the film was the highest-grossing conservative documentary film produced in the United States. In 2016, D'Souza released a documentary film and book, both entitled Hillary's America, which presented D'Souza's personal narrative concerning the Democratic Party; the film was the highest grossing documentary of 2016. This is Volume II of the Publications of the Continuing Seminar on World Jewry. Moshe Davis (January 12, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York – 1996) was a rabbi and a scholar of American Jewish history who taught at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America (JTS) and Hebrew University. He was recipient of a BA from Columbia University in 1936, a BA from the Jewish Theological Seminary's Teachers Institute in 1937 and a Ph.D. from Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1945. Davis was the first American to earn a doctorate at Hebrew University. He served as professor of American Jewish history, and at Hebrew University, where he was named the Stephen S. Wise Chair of American Jewish History and Institutions. In 1959, Davis established the Institute of Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His numerous books include The Emergence of Conservative Judaism (1963) and Israel: Its Role In Civilization (1956). Davis has been credited with being the creator of the academic field of America-Holy Land Studies, the field of studies focusing on the relationship between America and the Land of Israel. As part of his efforts to build Hebrew language institutions in the United States, Davis also played a role in founding the college student organization Histadrut Hanoar Ha'Ivri, the Hebrew Arts Foundation, the Massad camps, and the Hebrew Arts School for Music and Dance. Yaël Dayan (born 12 February 1939) is an Israeli politician and author. She served as a member of the Knesset between 1992 and 2003, and from 2008 to 2013 was the chair of Tel Aviv city council. Her service on the city council ended with the 2013 election. She is the daughter of Moshe Dayan. Dayan first made a name for herself as an author and newspaper columnist, writing columns for Yedioth Ahronoth, Ma'ariv, Al HaMishmar and Davar. She has published five novels as well as a memoir of the Six-Day War called Israel Journal: June 1967 and a biography of her father called My Father, His Daughter. In 1992, Dayan was elected to the Knesset on the Labor Party list and served as chairwoman of the Committee on the Status of Women. She was instrumental in pushing forward Israel's sexual harassment law in the 1990s. Reelected in 1996 and 1999 (as a member of One Israel, an alliance of Labor, Meimad and Gesher), Dayan became chairwoman of the Committee on the Status of Women for a second time in 1999.
