This report was developed by B-K Dynamics, Inc., in response to Requirement #5 of Contract N00014-86-C-0081. That contract was an SBIR Phase II effort tasked to design a Technology Transition Planning System for the Office of Naval Technology. The key elements of the system data base were included as appendices to this report which described the system as it was transferred to the Office of Naval Technology on 20 January 1986. B-K Dynamics was to continue to develop the system described in this report through the end of the next calendar year before fixing the final design of the prototype system, which was the goal of that phase of the contract. NAVBUDG 88/89 served as the source for programmatic information for the data base. More

That’s how Irving Stowe, one of the co-founders of Greenpeace, described the plan to sail a boat to the Arctic Ocean to stop the testing of a nuclear bomb. Irving didn’t know it then, but the Greenpeace trip would last for decades. Greenpeace is a non-governmental environmental organization with offices in over 40 countries and with an international coordinating body in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Greenpeace was founded by Irving Stowe and Dorothy Stowe. Greenpeace focuses its campaigning on worldwide issues such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing, commercial whaling, genetic engineering, and anti-nuclear issues. It uses direct action, lobbying, research, and ecotage to achieve its goals. More

Shaun Burnie is a senior nuclear specialist with Greenpeace Germany. Tom Clements (born 1951) is a South Carolina environmental activist and politician. Clements was the Green Party's nominee in the 2010 United States Senate election in South Carolina. Clements received more than 9% of the general election. He is the Southeastern Nuclear Campaign Coordinator for the US branch of Friends of the Earth in Columbia, South Carolina. Clements worked as the campaign manager for Democratic Congressman Doug Barnard, Jr. in the 1980s and as well as a long environmental activist with Greenpeace and the Nuclear Control Institute. More
