Currie, U.S. Army Reserve, Retired, holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of Virginia and has been professor of national security studies at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) since 1991. His experience with the news media includes 31 months as press spokesman for the U.S. Senate’s Select Committee on Intelligence, four years as host and moderator of the AUSA-sponsored television program “America’s Army,” two years as the public affairs officer for the 310th TAACOM, USAR, and eight years directing the news media industry study at ICAF. He served 30 years combined active and reserve duty in the Army. He is the author of Enclave: VIcksburg and Her Plantations, 183-1870 and Twice the Citizen: A History of the United States Army Reserve, 1908-1983. More
