He is a contributing writer there. Mark Joseph Green (born March 15, 1945) is an American author, former public official, public interest lawyer, and Democratic politician from New York City. Green was New York City Consumer Affairs Commissioner from 1990 to 1993 and New York City Public Advocate from 1994 to 2002. Green won Democratic primaries for the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and mayor of New York City, in each case losing the general election. More

He has contributed music to Sesame Street, and co-created and co-produced the PBS literacy education television program Between the Lions. Cerf's father was Random House co-founder, publisher, editor and TV panelist Bennett Cerf. Cerf also work as an author and satirist. In 1970, he helped launch the National Lampoon, serving as a Contributing Editor from its first issue until the mid-1970s. Marina Albee was a Ph.D. student at The Harriman Institute at Columbia University in NYC in 1985. She decided to go there because of dynamic professor Jonathan Sanders, who had organized the construction of an antenna on the roof of the Institute to watch Soviet television. Marina began to study the Soviet Union through its television and Mikhail Gorbachev's USSR was changing it every day. The inventor of the system went on tour to Moscow and she accompanied him to Gosteleradio. This led to a career spanning 30 years, doing live satellite TV, to TV and film production, to music production, to telecom servicing. She teaches at the European University at St. Petersburg. More

Homer Stille Cummings (April 30, 1870 – September 10, 1956) was a U.S. lawyer and political figure who was United States Attorney General from 1933 to 1939. He also was elected mayor of Stamford, Connecticut, three times before founding the legal firm of Cummings & Lockwood in 1909. He later served as chairman of Democratic National Committee between 1919 and 1920. Cummings reentered politics. In 1932, he helped persuade 24 senators and numerous congressmen to announce their support for Franklin D. Roosevelt. At the Chicago convention, he planned strategy, operated as floor manager, and delivered a resounding seconding speech. Following the election, Roosevelt chose Cummings as governor-general of the Philippines. Two days before the inauguration, Thomas J. Walsh, who had been designated attorney general, died. Upon taking office on March 4, 1933, Roosevelt named Cummings to lead the Justice Department. Cummings served almost six years as attorney general. Cummings transformed the Department of Justice by establishing uniform rules of practice and procedure in federal courts. He secured the passage of twelve laws that buttressed the "Lindbergh Law" on kidnapping, made bank robbery a federal crime and cracked down on interstate transportation of stolen property. More

Robert Valentine Harman was an academic specializing in History and Government long associated with institutions in Kansas City. H. R. Tucker was an academic specializing in Social Sciences long associated with institutions in St. Louis. J. E. Wrench was a professor of European History at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Jesse Erwin Wrench was born in Afton, New York, on 10 September 1882, and attended Cornell University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1906. He took part in the Cornell Expedition to Asia Minor and the Assyrio-Babylonian Orient. In 1911 he was hired by the University of Missouri to teach European History. He spent the bulk of his career at the University of Missouri. In 1933 he organized an archaeological survey of Missouri, and the following year founded the Missouri Archaeological Society. He served as the society’s president for 25 years. He wrote two books: American Citizenship Practice in 1924, and The March of Civilization in 1931, which was used as a textbook for many years. More
