This focuses on the effect of communism had on Hungary at the end of the Second World War and during the early years of the Cold War.

This reprint is essentially an advertisement for the USSR Photo 70 traveling exhibition. It was scheduled to visit Washington, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, San Antionio, and New Orleans. Rear cover was entitled White Wood and was photographed by Anatoli Erin. Also includes is Max Alpert's famous The Battalion Commander photograph [sometimes referred to as The Commisar].
