Contains three articles from Barnard's American Journal of Education bound together: "The Self-Sustaining Power of the Gyroscope Analytically Examined, " "On the Motion of the Gyroscope as Modified by the Retarding Forces of Friction, and the Resistance of the Air; with a Brief Analysis of the Top, " and "On the Effects of Initial Gyratory Velocities, and on Retarding Forces on the Motion of the Gyroscope.
