Biography of the author's father, Cornelius C. Smith, who was a professional soldier in the U.S. Army from 1890 to 1920. He received the Congressional Medal of Honor for gallantry in action against the Sioux Indians, and served in Cuba during the Spanish-American War. He also was involved in the conquest of the Moros on the Philippine Islands. Although he served during World War I, he failed to attain the rank of general. Foreword by Senator Barry Goldwater. Condition: very good, fair to good.
