Roy Braybrook is a highly regarded aviation writer who has worked in the aeronautical business for over thirty years. Having worked for Hawker Siddley Aviation from 1958, he became a full-time aviation writer upon leaving British Aerospace in 1980. Roy Braybrook has authored many titles for Osprey, including Osprey Aerospace: Soviet Combat Aircraft: The Four Generations. Provides technical information on the F/A-18 Hornet, and depicts the fighter planes in the air and on the ground with the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, the Navy Blue Angels aerobatic team, and the Canadian, Spanish, and Australian Air Forces. The "son" of the Northrop YF-17 Cobra, the Hornet grew both in weight and capability after being ordered by the Navy to replace the venerable Vought A-7 Corsair II.
