TheAmerican Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics was a sponsor of the May 1974 Conference, and edited and published the Proceedings so that these early steps toward the widespread utilization of space for the earth's peoples could be disseminated to the widest possible audience, particularly to responsible members of the aerospace profession.
