Only part of DJ present: both flaps, and part of rear DJ, edges of DJ portions darkened and small tears/chips. Russell found himself totally unable to accept the institution of slavery, and he turned his allegiance to the North. However, his honest reporting of the federal retreat after the first battle of Bull Run won him no friends, and he was forced to retire to England. Condition: fair to good, partial only.
