The instructions contain information on the installation, operation, and organizational maintenance of Auxiliary Interphone Equipment AN/VIA-1. This equipment is installed in certain tanks and armored vehicles to provide communicaiton to an external interphone box. By means of this external station, communication is provided over a distance of 40 feet between the crew of the vehicle and infantry in close support and between crews of various vehicles during radio silence. This reflects the state of knowledge and state of practice during the Korean War. Condition: good.
