Binder has wear and soiling. It is hard to estimate a page count, given the use of 3/4 size sheets that overlay diagrams at the bottom of full sheets. There is about .75 inch of material, including stiff card tabs. This publication is For Official Use Only, and was prepared by LaDriere, Inc., Technical Division, Detroit, Michigan under Contract No. DA-20-089-ORD-38778. This is undated, but appears to be circa mid-1950's. This type of information is increasingly scarce. It has a lot of technical data on specific vehicles. This item has specific relevance to military museums, restoration facilities, military equipment collectors, and military technologists. Major General Nelson M. Lynde, Jr. was commanding the command when this was published; he assumed command in 1955. The binder was specially prepared for this publication, with a globe, missile in flight, title, organization, and For Official Use Only marking on front. Staple noted near fore-edge of binder front. The contents are Tracked Vehicles, Tactical Trucks, and Tactical Trailers, with final sections on Standardization and Field Service. Under Tracked Vehicles are carriers, artillery and tanks. Under Tactical Trucks are Light Duty, Intermediate, Medium Duty, Heavy Duty and Miscellaneous. Tactical Trailers include cart type, wagon type and semitrailers. Each section and subsection are tabbed. Under Carriers they show the Honest John launcher and T-116 Chassis. Several pages in is a two-page spread on Carrier, Honest John Launcher which includes diagrams and physical data. The text observes that the complete launcher vehicle was easily capable of Phase I aerial delivery. Further on there is a section on Carrier, Little John Launcher, full Tracked. Some information is on 3/4th page over vehicle diagrams. Further on there is information on Carrier, Honest John Launcher, Full Tracked, Armored and Carrier, Honest John Loader, Full Tracked, Armored. There is also information on Carrier, Erector, Launcher, Full Tracked. The information in the Field Service section would be relevant to the various vehicles covered in this work. Condition: good.
