Topics covered include statistics of the Franco-German War, conditions of modern warfare, cost of modern war, present tactical tendencies in the German Army, notes on the French maneuvers, Von Moltke's work, the spirit of the new German infantry regulations, and blank vs. ball cartridge tactics, among many others.
