Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Truman Bowling Alley, Official Score Sheet

Place_Pub: Washington, DC: EEOB, c. 1980? 8.5" x 11", 1 sheet, single sheet printed both sides--score sheet on one side, short history of the bowling alley on the other side, sheet creased. The bowling alley was first built on the ground floor of the West Wing as a birthday gift for President Truman in 1947, and relocated to the EEOB in 1955. A formal reopening occurred in 1959 after the original lanes were replaced. President and Mrs. Nixon, both avid bowlers, had a new one-lane alley built in 1969. The Truman Bowling Alley has been renovated many times since. Condition: good.
