Color illustrations inside front and back cover. The first R.A.F. squadron to recieve the Wapiti was No. 84 at Shaibah, Iraq in 1928. In 1935 the Royal Canadian Air Force purchased a number from the RAF. Westlands built 565 Wapitis in all, including all variants (including some completed as Wallaces). The de Havilland idea for a single engine bomber (for daylight operations) endured through multiple design changes into the Second World War. Condition: Good. No dust jacket as issued. Has some wear and soiling.
