Carbon Dioxide Effects Research and Assessment Program: Flux of Organix Carbon by Rivers to the Oceans, Report of a Workshop, Woods Hole, Massachusetts, September 21-25, 1980, CONF-8009140
Washington, D.C. : [Springfield, VA: United States Department of Energy, Office of Energy Research, 1981. Presumed first edition/first printing. Wraps. [8], 397 p. Illustrations. References. Bibliography. This document was prepared by the Committee on Flux of Organic Carbon to the Ocean, Divison of Biological Sciences, National Research Council. This work was supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Research under congract No. DEFG-0180-EV10335. This study in part addressed the role of rivers in the global carbon cycle. It sought to determine what was, at the time, the best estimate of the flux of organic carbon from land into rivers and from the rivers into the oceans. It was interested in determining how much of that carbon was oxidized, stored or exported. It then was concerned with how the flexes were influenced by anthropogenic disturbances. It then addressed data needs. Condition: GoodCover has some wear and soiling. Small tear to rear cover. Pencil erasure residue on title page.
