Very little in English (bibliographic detail only). Printed in Germany by George Butow. Peter Balakshin (1898-1990) was born in Vladivostok. After emigrating to San Francisco he became the editor of Russkaia zhizn'. He authored the very important Final v Kitae. From May 1949 until October 1955 he was a military historian in the U.S. Far East Command, serving in Tokyo. He was also a command historian for two years after than in Nagoya as the headquarters of the 314 Air Force Division. He also served in the Psychological Warfare organization within the Department of Defense before returning to the United States prior to 1960. Condition: Good in good dust jacket. Stiff card cover with DJ. DJ has some wear and soling. Some page soiling and discoloration.
