Savannah River Technology Center is the applied research and development laboratory at the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site. Known for its innovative approaches to practical problem solving, the center was applying new technologies to stabilize and dispose of nuclear materials, clean up ground water and soil polluted with industrial wastes, and explore alternative energy uses. The center's expertise was in five core technologies--hydrogen, remediation, waste management, sensors, and robotics. These are described in this document. At the time of this publication, Dr. Susan Wood was the Director of the Center and a Vice President in the Westinghouse Savannah River Company. Condition: Very good.
