The Science Program includes the Science Campaign, the Engineering Campaign, the Inertial Confinement Fusion and High Yield Campaign, the Advanced Simulation and Computing Campaign, and the Pit Manufacturing and Certification Campaign. A summary of the Science Programs and descriptions of the federal, DOE, NNSA, and NA-10 R&D budgets are included. The issues/concerns have been extracted from government-sponsored reports and independent assessments. In addition to a literature review, views of staff at the NNSA and NNSA sites were solicited and their thoughts on issues/concerns documented. Key concerns were 1) that the Science Program was not responsive to Directed Stockpile Work; 2) integration management; 3) communication management; 4) technology deployment/roadmapping; 5) technology portfolio management, and 6) project management. Recommendations for improving the execution of the NA-10 Science Program are also given in this report. Condition: Very good.
