Los Alamos, NM: Los Alamos National Laboratory, 1993. Presumed First Edition, First printing. Wraps. Format is approximately 8.5 inches by 11 inches. This is one sheet, folded at midpoint, with information/illustrations on all four sides. This brochure states that Los Alamos transportation projects included collaborating with the automotive industry to develop safe, gas-efficient, and ergonomically sound vehicles, developing technologies for an intelligent vehicle-highway system; and designing such technologies as nondestructive testing of bridges. Los Alamos was part of the New Mexico Alliance for Transportation Research, whose goal was to enhanced the transportation structure of the United States. For example, Los Alamos studied the two-stroke engine which showed the spent gasses being carried out the exhaust port while the fresh gas was brought into the cylinder through the intake ports--support research in more fuel-efficient and more emission-managed engines. Examples of the Los Alamos Technology Base and areas of expertise include: Sensors, Environmental Modeling, Environmental Technologies, High-Performance Computing, Computer Modeling, and Active Control Systems. Condition: Very good.

Keywords: Transportation, Technology Transfer, Sensors, Environmental Modeling, Environmental Technologies, High-Performance Computing, Computer Modeling, Active Control Systems.
