Here is comedy and pathos; situations which may appear impossible and ridiculous, but which could take place; situations that give food for thought. In this book the author describes events just as they occurred, making no attempt to interpret the Communists' various moves or seeking the reasons behind them. This simply-told story should interest the general reader as well as the student of events on the China mainland. Condition: Good / Fair.
