Negro Hall of Fame [Newspaper clipping]

Presumed First Edition, First printing thus. Single sheet, printed on both sides. Format is approximately 4 inches by 7 inches. Illustration of the front of the Negro Hall of Fame building, showing several African-Americans out in front, showing to some degree the scale. On the reverse is a brief article on a car crash victim, Loman "Lobo" Gardner, twenty-one years old who lived at 2028 Russell Street. There is a large photo of the victim, his wife, and his namesake baby in his arms. The text is very brief as the photograph mostly fills the space. No information available on which newspaper this was published in or when it was published. An internet search found many references to the Negro Leagues [Baseball] hall of fame, but no reference to this apparently broader museum that focused on the Negro in general. The Text says "The Exposition Will Pay Tribute to Great Americans Who Have Moulded the Destinies of the Race in This Country. Statues. Busts--4,000 Book, Dioramas--Relics, Occupying 20,000 Sq. Ft." This advertisement has partial text indicating that this article appeared in connection with a Welcome to an A.M.[ ] General Conference and that a Dr. George [ ] may have been a General Chairman and an Eddie T [ ]. The definition of a Hall of Fame is a place that is like a museum with exhibits honoring the famous people and events related to a particular activity. Condition: Fair.
