Andrew G. Van Melsen (1912-1994) was an Emeritus Professor of Philosophy, Catholic University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He was the noted author of From Atomos to Atom and other works. Rev Henry J. Koren was born in Holland on Dec. 30, 1912. Henry Koren was ordained to the Priesthood July 4, 1937. After studies in Rome which were interrupted by WW II, Fr. Koren completed his Doctorate at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. In 1948 Fr. Koren was transferred to Duquesne University, Pittsburgh. He taught there in the Philosophy Department and became Chairman of the Philosophy Department and later also of the Theology Department. At Duquesne Fr. Koren wrote half a dozen books on philosophy and translated over two dozen other philosophical texts in the Duquesne Studies series. Fr. Koren's career as an author, philosopher and historian would span five decades.
