Horace Bruckshaw Hamden, CT: Archon Books, 1980. First U.S. Edition. Pocket-size, 227, illus., bibliography, library stamps, DJ scuffed and edges worn: small tears. Private Bruckshaw of the Royal Marine Light Infantry fought at Gallipoli and died on the western front. His diaries consist of a terse reporting of what he felt and saw, illustrated with sketch-plans of trench positions and cartoons. Such diaries from the man in the front trench are unusual. Condition: very good, ex-lib., fair to good.
