Reprint of the Fourth Edition originally published in 1905. Introduction by David Donald. Eggleston (1839-1911) first published his memoirs in 1874. He describes life in Virginia before the war, and offers an amusing account of how one young Confederate enjoyed his war experiences. Condition: very good, fair to good.
