A first-person account of the evolution of U.S. air and space doctrine by a pioneer naval aviator, one of its architects. Wilson was a test pilot on the USS Langley in 1927, the first U.S. aircraft carrier. It was commanded by Joseph M. Reeves, who as an ensign in the Spanish-American War had manned the throttle on the USS Oregon battleship. Condition: very good, fair to good.
