James Adams is an American author and entrepreneur. Adams was born in Newcastle, England, where he spent his childhood. In 1991, he immigrated to the United States, becoming a citizen in 1997. Adams founded the Ashland Institute for Strategic Studies, a virtual intelligence organization, and iDefense, a cyber intelligence agency. He also served as CEO of United Press International. Adams is an expert on warfare and intelligence, and has written 13 best-selling fiction and non-fiction books on the subjects. They include The Next World War, The Financing of Terror, and Sellout: Aldrich Ames and the Corruption of the CIA. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. He is renowned for his contribution in the late 1960s and early 1970s to the bureaucratic analysis of decision making, especially during times of crisis. His book Remaking Foreign Policy: The Organizational Connection, co-written with Peter Szanton, was published in 1976 and had some influence on the foreign policy of the administration of President Jimmy Carter which took office in early 1977. Since the 1970s, Allison has also been a leading analyst of U.S. national security and defense policy, with a special interest in nuclear weapons and terrorism. Allison has been heavily involved in U.S. defense policy since working as an advisor and consultant to the Pentagon in the 1960s. He has been a member of the Secretary of Defense's Defense Policy Board from 1985. Sidney Stone Blumenthal (born November 6, 1948) is an American journalist and political operative. He is a former aide to President Bill Clinton; a longtime confidant of Hillary Clinton, formerly employed by the Clinton Foundation; and a journalist, particularly known for his writings about American politics and foreign policy. Blumenthal is also the author of a multivolume biography of Abraham Lincoln. Chalker is a retired Navy SEAL, inventor and author who has written about the Navy SEALs.
