The #Resistance (also known as the Resistance) is an American liberal political movement that protests the first and second presidencies of Donald Trump. Commencing on an unknown date shortly after the presidential election in November 2016, it initially included Democrats on Twitter and Facebook before expanding to include independents and Republicans who opposed Trump on various social networking services. These have been among the most consistent hashtags that have been used in the anti-Trump movement on social media. Generally, the #Resistance symbolizes solidarity against Donald Trump. Its hashtags have also been used alongside other policy-specific hashtags, targeting other groups such as minorities and women. Though its height of popularity occurred during the days following Trump's first inauguration, it resurfaced during times of political controversy and animosity. In the three days following the announcement of the initial Muslim ban in late January, #Resist appeared in over 2.5 million tweets. The movement also resurged during and after Trump's successful campaign in the 2024 presidential election. More

This booklet appears to have been prepared to support Rockefeller's 1966 campaign for governor of Arkansas. Part of the campaign theme was support for the two-party system at a time when Arkansas was a staunchly Democrat Party state. Winthrop Rockefeller (May 1, 1912 – February 22, 1973) was an American politician and philanthropist. Rockefeller was the fourth son and fifth child of American financier John D. Rockefeller Jr. and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller. He is one of the grandchildren of Standard Oil co-founder John D. Rockefeller. As an entrepreneur in Arkansas, he financed many local projects, including a number of new medical clinics in poorer areas, before being elected state governor in 1966, as the first Republican governor of Arkansas since Reconstruction. Despite accusations of lacking insight into the concerns of low-income voters, Rockefeller was re-elected in 1968, and went on to complete the controversial integration of Arkansas schools. Rockefeller moved to central Arkansas in 1953 and established Winrock Enterprises and Winrock Farms atop Petit Jean Mountain near Morrilton in Conway County. In 1955, Governor Faubus appointed Rockefeller chairman of the Arkansas Industrial Development Commission (AIDC). Rockefeller resigned his position with the AIDC and conducted his first campaign for governor in 1964 against Faubus. His campaign was unsuccessful, but Rockefeller energized and reformed the tiny Republican Party to set the stage for the future. More

Jonathan William Patrick Aitken (born 30 August 1942) is an Irish-born British former Conservative Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom (1974–97), and a former Cabinet minister. He was convicted of perjury in 1999 and received an 18-month prison sentence, of which he served seven months. Aitken was a member of the Privy Council of the United Kingdom. After becoming a Christian, he later became the president of Christian Solidarity Worldwide and was ordained in the Church of England. He served as a war correspondent during the 1960s in Vietnam and Biafra, and gained a reputation for risk-taking when he took LSD in 1966 as an experiment for an article in the London Evening Standard and had a bad trip. He was also a journalist at Yorkshire Television from 1968 to 1970, presenting the regional news show Calendar. Aitken was the first person to be seen on screen from Yorkshire Television when it began broadcasting. In 1970, Aitken was acquitted at the Old Bailey for breaching section 2 of the Official Secrets Act 1911, when he photocopied a report about the British government's supply of arms to Nigeria, and sent a copy to The Sunday Telegraph and to Hugh Fraser, a pro-Biafran Tory MP. Aitken's favorable biography, Nixon: A Life, of former US President Richard Nixon, was published in 1993. Although his was not an authorized biography, Aitken was one of the few biographers from whom Nixon accepted questions and to whom he granted interviews. More
